my Dad is sulking in his room. well, he's quite attached to me. so if he ever remarries, make sure she looks like me when i was in my twenties.  i'll try to keep an 'open-door' policy with him. if i slam it shut, it's because he's being unreasonable and difficult.  even though you're not my actual Father, please know that I am empathetic to your plight and requests.  and i do what i can to assist and care for you, but impersonally and through the code of conduct.  no, i'll try not to leave you and yours out in the cold.  but please mind my boundaries and do not try to over-reach with me.
